After Google and Amazon, Facebook took VAT registration in Bangladesh
The National Board of Revenue (NBR) on Sunday registered the value added tax (VAT) on social media Facebook.
Facebook Technologies Ireland Limited, Facebook Ireland Limited and Facebook Payments International Limited, three Facebook companies, have received Business Identification Number (BIN) from the Dhaka South VAT Commissionerate, said Pramila Sarkar, Additional Commissioner, Field Office.
Facebook got their BIN number about two weeks after Google and e-commerce company Amazon received approval.
